About the federation
The Cayman Islands Chess Federation is the governing body for chess in the Cayman Islands. We run the national championships, keep the ratings, train arbiters and select the teams that represent the Cayman Islands abroad.
Our mission
To promote chess in the Cayman Islands: rated events, school chess, coach training and national teams.
The federation sanctions tournaments, publishes the rating list and selects national teams for the Chess Olympiad and youth events.
It is run by an elected council of volunteers. Clubs and schools affiliate to the federation, and players join as members.
Our vision
Every school playing, and Cayman on the Olympiad podium again.
